Each year Xperience Group sponsors a charity selected at random from suggestions put forward by staff. In 2016, Cancer Research UK was a chosen charity of the year and the Group held a raft of fundraising activities dedicated to this cause, raising a total of £5,763.58.
100 employees across all four Xperience Group office locations, got involved to support funding for scientists, doctors and nurses and help beat cancer sooner. The activities included bakes sales, raffles and a donation in place of sending Christmas Cards.
Jo Marriot, Local fundraising Manager at Cancer Research UK, commented, “We’re very grateful to everyone at the Xperience Group for choosing to support Cancer Research UK. We don’t receive any government funding so every penny we receive is donated by the public. Our progress relies on the generosity of people to bring us closer to beating cancer.”
Iain O’Kane, Managing Director at Xperience Group, commented “This amazing result wouldn’t be possible without the outstanding support from our employees who took time to bring a range of fantastic bakes which we all enjoyed – a bit too much! I’m delighted for the total we raised and am glad the Group has joined the fight against cancer”.
