The new Act v16.1 feature pack is now available for Act! Business Care subscribers to download. This is the first feature pack released by Swiftpage since they moved away from the annual release model.
In August 2014, Swiftpage launched Act v16, the first release since the acquisition of Act from Sage in March 2013. In this release Swiftpage reverted back to the former naming convention in order to break free from forced annual releases, allowing the product to evolve through feature packs, such as this one, instead of being restricted by a fixed release schedule.
Released this month is the new Act Feature Pack. This pack includes two new features, lead capture and a contact timeline, which will help users to develop their business processes through enhanced integration and improved usability.
Marcell Varga, Act! Consultant at Xperience Group said, “The new feature pack extends the functionality to provide users with enterprise functionality on a small business budget. For Act v16.1 Business Care users this feature pack will prove invaluable, by automating more manual processes for increased efficiency.”
The lead capture* feature allows businesses to capture leads via web forms, which in turn populate the Act system and Act emarketing. This enables businesses to nurture relationships by sending targeted emails to then drive new sales and create customers for life.
The contact timeline feature provides a visual timeline of contact interaction within the contact view. The timeline will display all interactions, including meetings, calls and opportunities, on a timeline enabling users to see the information in one place and edit there and then, increasing user efficiency.
This feature pack is only available to businesses that have Ac v16.1 and Business Care Bronze, Silver or Gold. Business Care Subscribers can download the new feature pack from the Act! marketplace free of charge.

*To use the lead capture service businesses must have an active Act emarketing account.
