Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and CRM Software are terms used interchangeably by many, though they are very separate concepts. Keen to identify the value of CRM and diminish misconceptions Xperience Group, CRM specialists and award winning Sage Business Partner, held a complimentary CRM Workshop at the end of June 2012.
The Workshop was very successful and achieved its goal to get local businesses thinking about CRM and its place within the modern organisation, both strategically and operationally. Mike Ramsay, Managing Director of Xperience Group, speaking at the event said, “CRM is not a piece of software, it is a culture and business discipline, which can be facilitated and accelerated through astute use of CRM software. This sentiment was supported by guest speaker, David Beard of Sage (UK), who contributed, “CRM is a means by which to achieve strategic goals.”
Mike, continued, “A good CRM solution is as important as a good accounting solution, and I cannot understand how businesses can survive in a highly competitive market place without it. There is no doubt in my mind that without CRM, we would not be where we are today. My advice to any business owner would be to get CRM right, and the rest will follow.”
CRM Software is quickly becoming the essential business tool with industry experts proclaiming CRM is “an imperative not an option during the downturn.”Once, regarded as a luxury afforded by only the largest organisation, CRM Software is now more accessible and affordable than ever with the introduction of Cloud technology and Software-as-a-Service.
