One of the 75% of Northern Ireland’s businesses which are family run, forming the cornerstone of the local economy, Carnroe specialises in corporate clothing and leisurewear. The company has continued to grow and increase its market share in the difficult trading conditions over the last few years, has increased its turnover by over 15% since 2008.
Carnroe’s new contract with Xperience, a Micrsosoft Gold Certified Partner, is providing an IT solution including Pegasus Opera and ProspectSoft which will improve internal processing driving forward effective sales management and empowering the company to expand into new export markets.
A company that offers real choice with a cutting edge hardware and software portfolio including Cloud or On Premise, SharePoint, Virtualisation, Unified Communications and Sales Management systems, Xperience was the clear choice for Carnroe in helping to grow its position in the marketplace. Commenting on the announcement, Gemma McAnally of Xperience said, “Efficiency and time management are key for businesses that are looking to utilise employees to the best of their ability. This is where IT can provide cost savings and give businesses a platform upon which to reach different markets and new customers.
“Xperience is delighted to be providing Carnroe Supplies with these additional modules and complementary solutions. We were able to identify systems such as handheld units for stock management, document management systems and customer relationship management solutions which would help the business to improve efficiency and streamline its day to day practices.”
“There are many different ways in which IT can provide businesses with a competitive advantage. We are finding that more and more companies are asking how they can integrate IT across their business practices. Within Xperience we have a dedicated consultation team which reviews IT systems, identifies a company’s individual business needs and provides solutions which will deliver long term savings for the business.”
According to Hugh O’Boyle, Carnoe, the company has stayed ahead of the game through shrewd investments, such as new technology, using the expertise of companies like Xperience, building workforce skills, and developing new products as well as taking existing ones to new markets.
Hugh O’Boyle, MD of Carnroe Supplies said, “Since the company was founded in 1998 we have experienced steady growth. We already export to the Republic of Ireland and Scotland but we are confident that Xperience’s new IT package will help us to grow our markets internationally. It’s a challenging climate, with recent news that a third of Northern Ireland companies have seen exports sales fall in 2011, but we are confident about the future, through the IT investments that we are making which we believe will give us the competitive advantage we need within the marketplace.”
“Increasingly we are finding that staff needs to be able to work on the go with full access to key information when working out on the road. The addition of ProspectSoft CRM to our IT package will enable our team to spend more time talking to new leads and growing the business, whilst having access to all their current customers’ information. With these solutions in place, we can monitor all marketing, advertising campaigns and customer events. In real terms this allows us to get accurate information on which of these avenues is most successful at generating revenue for our business.”
Xperience will provide Carnroe with handheld units which will allow for quicker stock-taking and raising of purchase orders. This will also allow Carnroe Supplies to scan in all deliveries, improving the speed that stock appears on the system and in turn its availability to purchase by the customer. Previously Carnroe Supplies had spent time looking for key customer documentation. Now the new document management system will include signed delivery notes scanned and held against the specific Opera customer record, freeing up valuable office space within the business.
