The Role  

 

We are undergoing an exciting time in our evolution and now seek a Fulfilment Engineer to join our team in Bury St Edmunds office. As a Fulfilment Engineer, you will provide an important service to Xperience’s diverse customer base, ensuring that equipment is configured, protected, delivered and ready for use.  

 

This is a varied role working with different departments across the business, including assisting the projects team with meeting deadlines for equipment preparation and installation, support for client inductions when required and working on client sites if needed. 

 

This is a customer facing role working with different technologies including Intune and Windows deployment. Many of these tasks will involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, reaching, and lifting. Relevant training will be issued to successful applicants, to ensure you can work safely within health and safety regulations.  

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Configuring client hardware to an agreed specification
  • Stock management, including goods in and out
  • Assisting colleagues with scoping for hardware requirements 
  • Keeping the central system up to date
  • Generate client data reports where required
  • Creating and improving upon processes
  • Installation of client hardware where required
  • Provide onsite support for client inductions where required

 

Person Specification  

 

Essential:   

 

  • Previous experience in a customer service or warehouse/stock management role
  • Previous experience in configuration of endpoints for Windows 10/11
  • Previous experience working in a customer service environment, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely either by phone or face to face
  • Proven track record of being dependable and well organised 
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Independent thinker, with a willingness to learn
  • Problem solving skills and resilience to issues and influences outside of their control
  • Excellent team player, flexible, responsive and takes ownership of tasks
  • Willingness to work in an environment that will involve the manual handling of IT equipment 
  • Full driving license that enables you to drive in the UK and access to your own vehicle for business use (business miles will be reimbursed through company expenses)
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK (We do not currently hold a visa sponsorship licence)

  

Desirable:  

 

  • Ideally 12 months experience in IT support 
  • Experience of using imaging tools and processes for device builds
  • Previous experience in an IT/Professional Services organisation 
  • Professional IT Certifications, i.e. ITIL Foundation, Microsoft MS900, MD100
  • Previous hands-on experience with ticket management systems such as ConnectWise

The Role 

 

We are undergoing an exciting time in our evolution and now seek an ambitious and driven Fulfilment Engineer Trainee.  

 

In this role, you will provide an important service to Xperience’s diverse customer base, ensuring that equipment is configured, protected, delivered and ready for use. In conjunction with these tasks, the role will also be heavily involved the setup and configuration of user hardware, inbound/outbound logistics and stock management.  

 

Many of these tasks may involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, reaching, and lifting. Relevant training will be issued to successful applicants, to ensure you can work safely within health and safety regulations.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Configuring client hardware to an agreed specification
  • Manage logistics (shipping and organising engineer site visits)
  • Stock management, including goods in and out
  • Keeping the central system up to date
  • Generate client data reports where required
  • Creating and improving upon processes
  • Manual Handling, including transporting hardware around the building in trolleys and pallet trucks (after appropriate training) 
  • Following Health & Safety guidelines and procedures at all times

Experience Required

Desirable:  

 

  • Previous workplace experience in an IT/Professional Services organisation
  • Experience of using imaging tools and processes for device builds
  • Experience in managing stock in a stock room or warehouse type environment 
  • A qualification in Information Technology or related subject (or studying towards)
  • Previous experience in an internal or external facing helpdesk support team 
  • Previous hands-on experience with ticket management systems such as ConnectWise
